Traffic Stop in Tri-City Area Nets Arrests for Human Trafficking, Outstanding Warrants

The car was occupied by two men and a girl and was laced with bullet holes, police said.

Officers arrested a man on suspicion of human trafficking and a suspected teenage prostitute for outstanding warrants after a traffic stop in Fremont on Saturday, police said.

The vehicle stop occurred at Fremont Boulevard and Enea Court, according to Fremont police. The car was occupied by two men and a girl and was laced with bullet holes, police said. The girl, who lied about her name multiple times before finally stating her true identity, was found to have a felony warrant for prostitution and stated she was still working as a prostitute, according to police.

The girl was taken to juvenile hall, police said. One of the men in the car was also arrested for human trafficking as well as an outstanding warrant. The name of the man was not immediately available from police.
