Weekend Traffic Advisory: Filming Will Close Several Newark Roads

Information released via Newark Police Nixle Alerts:

Traffic Alert

Portions of Lafayette Ave. and Ruschin Dr. will be closed for a few hours this Saturday afternoon and evening, October 4th, to accommodate the filming of a holiday event by Triple Threat Production (Christmas lights competition). Alternate routes include the use of Dalewood Dr. and McLaughlin Ave.

Road closures from 5 p.m. to 12 a.m. are as follows:

• Lafayette Ave. (both directions) between Newark Blvd, and Ruschin Dr.
• Ruschin Dr. (south bound) from Dalewood Dr. to Lafayette Ave.
• Ruschin Dr. (both directions) from Lafayette Ave. to McLaughlin Ave.

No parking will be in effect on October 4th for portions of Lafayette Ave. and Ruschin Dr. from 5 p.m. to 12 a.m.
As a reminder for traffic and pedestrian safety, please be aware of the roadway changes in the area and drive safely.
