This Weekend's SummerFest to Feature Food, Brews, KidZone
Regional bands include Dave on the Green, Blues Bottle Band and Zydeco On Our Minds (ZOOM).

The 7th Annual SummerFest will be held this Saturday and Sunday, July 11 – 12, from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.--featuring live music, microbrews, food vendors, a classic car show, the NewPark KidZone, an assortment of dining options available at the mall and a farmer’s market. Newark’s 7th Annual SummerFest is FREE and open to the public.
It will be held in NewPark’s parking lot located between Macy’s and Sears.
- The NewPark KidZone will feature a play area and kids activities including a giant inflatable to bounce, pony rides and fun games.
- While children are in the NewPark KidZone, parents can enjoy strolling through the vendor booths, enjoying a selection favorite microbrews and wines.
- SummerFest goers can sit back and relax to the music of regional bands including last year’s headline crowd pleasers Dave on the Green, Blues Bottle Band and Zydeco On Our Minds (ZOOM) as well as Cotton Creek which is new to this year’s lineup.
- On Saturday, patrons can stroll through a display of tenderly restored cars and trucks at the Classic Car and Truck Show presented by Classic Cruisers.
- On Sunday, customers can spend time shopping at the Farmers’ Market before the second day of the SummerFest.
“We are looking forward to having NewPark host the SummerFest again this year,” said Valerie Boyle, president and chief executive officer of the Newark Chamber of Commerce. “The Chamber of Commerce is proud to join forces again with the shopping center to sponsor this popular summertime event.”
