What Streets In Newark Need Extra Police Patrols?

When Newark Police announced on social media a

NEWARK, CA — Last Thursday, Newark Police announced on Facebook, "Today is not a good day to speed or violate traffic laws. Our High Intensity Traffic Team is out in force right now."

In the comments section, residents were quick to suggest places in town that need extra attention from police. They include speed strips, corners where drivers don't pay attention to pedestrians, and other pet peeves.

Evelyn Kelsey said, "Hope your watching Thornton Ave near old town aka Indy 500!!!"

Rick Dominguez gave police an entire list, "Newark Blvd at Ruschin crosswalk is always bad, Cherry is mini 880 and central is bad."

Lucy Wong had two suggestions, "Yay, cedar snd sycamore are the worst!"

Anna Morales made one request, "Thank you! Cherry street is another expressway! You take a chance when turning into this street ! Get 'em!"

From Janet Remedios Snyder, "GO NPD!!! And um....Jarvis! OMG! Newark Autobahn!!"

Scott Carloss chimed in with, "How about little help at Ruschin and Lafayette no one stops!"

D'Andre Alvin Lopez has another idea, "How about stopping by Haley St?"
