Newark Man Killed In Bike Collision ID'd
He was killed last Thursday night in a collision with a car.

NEWARK, CA — Newark Police are seeking witnesses to a deadly crash involving a bicycle and a vehicle last Thursday near the intersection of Cedar Boulevard and Milani Avenue. Police said in a release Monday, "The Newark Police Department’s Traffic Division is still investigating to determine if any criminal misconduct is associated to this collision."
The bicyclist has been identified as 53-year-old Luis Hernandez of Newark, the Alameda County coroner's bureau said today.
The crash was reported at 9:22 p.m. The bicyclist died at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle has cooperated investigators.
