Woman Wanted In Arson Attempt: Look At These Photos
This happened at a preschool in one city, while another was seriously damaged in a 2nd city. The preschool operates in the East & South Bay.
NEWARK, CA — Can you identify this woman? Newark Police released a series of photos showing a woman arriving at a preschool in Union City and trying to light a Molotov cocktail last November over Thanksgiving weekend. She was not successful. However, another preschool was heavily damaged in an arson fire over Memorial Day weekend in Newark.
Both preschools are operated by Safari Kid, which also has locations in Walnut Creek, Danville, San Ramon, Pleasanton, Dublin, Livermore, Hayward, Fremont, Milpitas, Mountain View, Sunnyvale, San Jose, Santa Clara, and Cupertino. If she has an ax to grind against Safari Kid, she may be connected with any of those.

Police report that on Nov. 27, this woman brought a Molotov cocktail to Safari Kid preschool/daycare in the 32600 block of Alvarado Boulevard in Union City. Police said in a release, "She attempted to light the Molotov however it would not light. The suspect resorted to removing the wick and smashing the glass door to the school with the bottle, leaving the bottle behind after throwing it through the door."

On May 26, at the end of another holiday weekend, the Safari Kid preschool/daycare in the 34800 block of Newark Boulevard in Newark was damaged by an arson fire.
