1 Dead, Another 'Significantly' Injured In Newport Beach Car Crash
The crash apparently involved two vehicles at the intersection of MacArthur Boulevard and Bowsprit Drive in Newport Beach.
NEWPORT BEACH, CA — One person died and a second was left with "significant" injuries in a two-car crash in Newport Beach Saturday, authorities said Monday.
The crash was reported at 4:33 p.m. Saturday, after Newport Beach police officers received multiple calls reporting a two-car crash at the intersection of MacArthur Boulevard and Bowsprit Drive.
One driver was pronounced dead shortly after officers arrived to the scene. A second was given emergency care and moved to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

The identity of the deceased driver was not released pending next-of-kin notification.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation, officers said.
