$100K, 20 Pounds Of Ketamine Seized In OC, Thanks To K-9

Three people were arrested for possession of 20 pounds of ketamine and $100,000 in cash during an investigation last week.

COSTA MESA, CA — Three people were arrested for possession of 20 pounds of ketamine and $100,000 in cash during a drug investigation in Costa Mesa last week.

The investigation took place in the area of Harbor Boulevard and Wilson Street when a suspect tried to escape by intentionally ramming a police car, according to the Costa Mesa Police Department.

The suspect was arrested after trying to run from police on foot.

A second car was also stopped during the investigation and two more suspects were arrested. The suspects were in possession of the cash and ketamine at the time of their arrest, police said.

Their identities were not released.

Police K9 “Aran” helped detectives make the arrests. The Anaheim Police Department and Homeland Security also aided in the investigation.
