3 Found Dead In Newport Beach's Balboa Island Home: Report
The bodies of a man and two women were found inside a Balboa Island residence Monday, police say. A 4th victim was alive when found.
NEWPORT BEACH, CA —The tiny community of Balboa Island was rocked Monday morning when three people were discovered dead inside an area home, police say. The three bodies were discovered inside the residence, and a fourth man was found still alive, police say.
Two women and a man of unknown age were found, deceased, inside the home. The fourth man, who is believed to have called 911, is expected to survive.
Authorities did not yet reveal their cause of death as of this report. The fourth victim, a man, was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital in unknown condition. Their identities and the cause of death have not yet been released.

According to Newport Beach police Lt. Keith Krallman in an ABC7 report, illegal drugs are suspected in the deaths, though whether or not Fentanyl is involved was not yet known, Krallman told ABC7.
Police do suspect another person was with the group within 24 hours of the deaths, according to Krallman's statement.

Newport Beach Police Officers arrived at the home just after 8:15 a.m. near Diamond Avenue and Bay Front Alley South. Inside, they found the victims, said Heather Rangel of the Newport Beach Police Department.
Rangel did not know the condition of the man who survived.
There's no threat to the community at this time, according to Rangel, and this was thought to be an isolated incident.
