780+ Dancers Needed To Break Guinness World Record For Largest Swing Lesson In OC
Residents and visitors alike are invited to Newport Beach this April to try to break the Guinness World Records title.
NEWPORT BEACH, CA — Do you want to earn your place in the history books? Or, at least, the Guinness Book of World Records?
On Sunday, April 19, residents and tourists alike are invited by Visit Newport Beach to gather at the Balboa Pier for an attempt to break the Guinness World Records title for the World's Largest Swing Dance Lesson.
The free event will take place at the Balboa Pier — steps form where the Balboa Swing style was invented at the Rendezvous Ballroom in the '30s.

To break the record, more the 391 pairs — or 782 individuals — must show up and learn to swing together in a single lesson.
The free event takes place on Sunday, April 19.

Check-in for the event starts at 10 a.m., with the record attempt spanning from 11:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
