Airport Death: Fatal Accident At JWA

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — A forklift mishap turned deadly Monday, according to a Cal-OSHA spokesman. A 30-year-old Los Angeles man died Monday in a workplace accident at John Wayne Airport.

The man was operating a forklift for Commercial Scaffolding of California when it rolled over on him about 4:30 a.m. Monday morning, said Luke Brown, a spokesman for Cal-OSHA, the state agency that investigates workplace accidents.

The victim's name was not immediately released.
