A.M. Roundup: InStyle, Vandal at the Beach, House of Design Sells

• Newport Beach resident Tatiana Mikhailovna is named an InStyle magazine "super-reader" and featured, photo and all, in the "how have you amped up your style?" section of the periodical's August issue. So ... how has Mikhailovna amped up her style? "I had been thinking of ways to wear my wide-leg jeans," she wrote, "and loved the idea of pairing them with a striped top and red lips." Mikhailovna wrote that she was inspired by a nautical outfit featured in a past issue of InStyle.

• A vandal used spray paint this week to deface signs and scrawl on rocks at Corona del Mar State Beach. . If you spot graffiti on public property report it at 949-644-3333. A city contractor will clean it up within 48 hours of it being reported. The city will remove graffiti from private property at the property owner's expense.

• , a more than 10,000-square foot house in Newport Coast, has sold for 11,850,000, The Orange County Register reported this week. Tours of the house, which bears the stamp of several well-known interior designers, were sold as a fundraiser for the Philharmonic Society Youth Music Education program.
