• Dramatic Moment Cops Save 5 Dogs Nearly Cooked Alive in Hot Car (pulptastic.com) — Newport Beach police have released body-cam video of an officer smashing a car window to rescue five overheated dogs on Holly Lane, all of whom survived and recovered. Three dogs are now available for adoption at the Newport Beach Animal Shelter, and police are urging residents to call authorities immediately if they see pets left in hot vehicles, especially during the ongoing heat wave.
