NEWPORT BEACH, CA — A new, limited-edition cookie is coming to Levain Bakery in Fashion Island in time for the holiday season.
This week, the New York City-based bakery announced that it would introduce a chocolate cherry almond cookie to the Fashion Island location.
The cookie is joined by a new holiday tin, also available for a limited time. The tins are designed to hold eight or 12 of Levain's freshly-baked six-ounce cookies.
According to Levain bakers, the new cookie is inspired by the classic European pairing of cherry and almond. Tart, dried cherries bring a tangy contrast to gooey pockets of Valrhona chocolate, while toasted almonds give the cookie an extra crunch.
The chocolate cherry almond cookie is available at Levain Bakery now through Nov. 25 in store and online at LevainBakery.com.
Levain Bakery Newport Beach is located at 315 Newport Center Drive within Fashion Island, open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
