Apartment Fire Hospitalizes 2 In Newport Beach

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — Two people were hospitalized after a fire devastated a Newport Beach apartment, the Newport Beach Fire Department reported.
The fire was reported at 4:27 a.m. Monday at the Fairway Villas Apartments in Newport Beach.
Firefighters aggressively attacked the fire and quickly contained it to the involved unit. Two occupants of the home were found in the rear patio area and received medical care before being taken to a local hospital.

According to firefighters, the unit was red-tagged due to significant damage done by the fire.
