Attention, Fierce Fashionistas: It's O.C. Style Week

Grab a sneak peek at fall's must-haves, back-to-school styles and more at Fashion Island and Irvine Spectrum events.

World-renowned designers, a TV personality and a Project Runway alumnus are among this year's attendees at the fourth annual Style Week Orange County. And you, too, might want to be there to grab some new pieces for your fall wardrobe.

The celebration of fashion—created to shine a spotlight on up-and-coming designers, notable style makers and O.C. fashion brands—kicks off today and will continue through Oct. 8. Events will once again take place at at the Irvine Spectrum Center, and for the first time several will take place at Fashion Island.

“This year we are thrilled to have Fashion Island participate to showcase an even wider variety of designers and trends as we highlight the best of the fashion season available at these two unique destinations,” said Laura Davis, senior marketing director of Fashion Island and Irvine Spectrum Center.

The itinerary for the week includes appearances by two of America’s top designers, Rachel Roy and David Meister; a fashion carnival; a food festival; restaurant debuts; and a long list of in-store parties.

  • Today, from 7 to 9 p.m.—Rack Rave at Irvine Spectrum, a fashion carnival with modeling, entertainment, interactive events and more, hosted by celebrity designer, Project Runway alumnus Nick Verreos.
  • Tomorrow, Oct. 1, at 1 p.m.—Young World Fashion Show by Bloomingdale’s at Fashion Island, showing the best of back-to-school styles for your young fashionista, including Burberry, Polo Ralph Lauren, Ella Moss, Splendid and Aqua.
  • Tomorrow, Oct. 1, at 3 p.m.—Contemporary Chic at Fashion Island, a multi-store fashion show previewing fall’s must-have contemporary looks from Nordstrom and exclusive merchants, including Ella Moss, Jack Spade and Earnest Sewn.
  • Wednesday, Oct. 5, at 1 p.m.—David Meister Fashion Show at Fashion Island, where the celebrity designer will show his fall gowns in the Neiman Marcus-Bloomingdale’s Courtyard.
  • Thursday, Oct. 6, from 7 to 9 p.m.—Restaurant Rave at Irvine Spectrum, where celebrity chef and radio host Jamie Gwen and TV personality Mario Lopez will host cooking demos.
