Bank of The West Announces New OC Regional Business Banking Manager

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — Bank of the West this week announced the appointment of Desi Stark as the new regional business banking manager for the Orange County region.

Stark, who will report to Brian Constable, business banking territory manager in the bank's Consumer Banking Division, will oversee the region's business banking team and be based in Bank of the West's Newport Beach office.

Stark joins Bank of the West from U.S. Trust, Bank of America's Private Bank for Northern California and Nevada markets, where she was a senior vice president and market sales executive. Prior to her role in wealth management at U.S. Trust, she established and ran Bank of America's first small business banking team in San Francisco and Silicon Valley.

"With nearly 20 years dedicated to clients in both private and small business banking, Desi is uniquely positioned to lead and grow our Orange County team," said Michelle di Gangi. "We are delighted that Desi is joining our team."

Prior to Bank of America, Stark started Interstate Corp., an innovative company specializing in logistics and warehousing, that she grew to a $5 million business in two and a half years. Earlier in her career, Stark founded IT School, which offers training and expert services focused on Microsoft and Oracle technologies. For IT School, Stark developed, implemented and grew a successful business model for optimal results and swift growth. After selling the company, she joined Zurich Financial Services in Orange County, where she hired and coached financial advisors and insurance agents on how to build their agencies.

Stark holds a Bachelor's Degree from Business School Economics and a Six Sigma Black Belt certification from Acuity Institute. Stark is also Securities Licensed with FINRA and holds Series 7 and Series 66 licenses.
