Woman's Body Discovered Behind Anaheim Apartments

Early Tuesday morning, a person looking for recyclables in a trash bin discovered a body inside a duffle bag.

ANAHEIM, CA — A woman's body was discovered behind an Anaheim apartment complex, hidden inside of "a duffle bag," Anaheim Police said Tuesday.

At approximately 2:15 a.m. a person rummaging for recyclables on the 2100 block of south Balboa found the suitcase, with the body inside, and notified the police.

The Orange County Coroner's office worked to determine the age and and identity of the victim, as well as where the crime took place, according to Anaheim Police. Officers searched trash bins in the area for additional clues, police said. As of this report, police do not believe the body was dismembered.
