Body Of Missing Newport Beach Man Found In OC Park: Report

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — A Newport Beach man who was reported missing earlier this month was found dead this week in Talbert Park, the Daily Pilot reported.

The body of Scott Breneman, 41, was discovered near the river jetties on the Huntington Beach side of Talbert Park after he was reported missing on Jan. 7, the report said. His cause of death was not immediately made public.

Family members told the Daily Pilot that Breneman disappeared on Jan. 7 after fleeing from Huntington Beach Hospital. According to family members, Breneman was taken to the hospital after he was "acting irrationally."
