NEWPORT BEACH, CA — Newport Beach Police officers sought the public's help Wednesday in finding a man who may have witnessed a physical fight that broke out on Newport Boulevard Saturday.

According to police, the witness may be able to offer additional information pertinent to investigators looking into the brawl.

The fight was reported at 1:40 a.m. on Saturday, April 22 in a parking lot at 3101 Newport Boulevard in Newport Beach.

The witness was apparently not involved in the fight, but investigators believe he may have watched the incident as it unfolded.

He was described as a white man wearing a black baseball cap, long-sleeve heather-gray "Jack's Surfboards" crew-neck sweatshirt, and blue jeans.
