Luca Pino is a Los Angeles-based guitarist whose hot jazz stylings are cut from the cloth of Django Reinhardt, Oscar Aleman, and Freddie Green. He leads his own quartet entitled "Pino Noir," in which he reimagines the 1930s Paris swing sound with exciting arrangements, electric fashion sense, and original compositions. He's headlined various gypsy jazz festivals such as Djangofest Northwest in Seattle, Django Reinhardt Birthday Celebration in Berkeley, Djangojazz Festival in Mexico, not to mention a teaching stint at Django In June in Massachusetts. His penchant for early 20th-century swing guitar has also led him to world tours with Postmodern Jukebox, as well as performing with local acts such as Lizzy &amp; The Triggermen and Jonathan Stout's Boulevardiers.

Searchers' Gem and Mineral Society (<a href="https://searchersrocks.org/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">searchersrocks.org</a>) dazzles with its&nbsp;65th Annual Show at the Anaheim Brookhurst Community Center. Forty-one dealers display the best in rocks, minerals, and jewelry. A Silent Auction every half hour featuring slabs, opals, crystals and lapidary equipment. Faceting and rock polishing demonstrations, celebrities, and hundreds of door prizes given away over the two-day event. Free entry, free parking, and free children’s activities.

Participants will learn about species including California Brown Pelicans, cormorants, gulls, and sea lions, and the threats they face.

Guests are also invited to participate in a photo contest for a chance to win a Wildlife Jewels pelican-inspired artwork.
