Car Fire Shuts Down Freeway In Newport Beach
The car fire was reported at 9:34 a.m. in the City of Newport Beach, the California Highway Patrol said.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — A car fire shut down the southbound side of the 73 Freeway in Newport Beach Wednesday morning, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The fire was reported at 9:34 a.m. on the freeway near Newport Coast Drive, after authorities reported that "some sort of tanker truck" was "fully engulfed in flames."
The fire shut down the southbound side of the freeway and prompted officials to issue a SigAlert while the flames are quelled.
