'Celebrity Rehab' Star Pleads Not Guilty to Drug Charges

Reality-television character Jason Davis on Monday pleaded not guilty to felony drug charges stemming from his arrest earlier this year by Newport Beach police, according to website TMZ.

Davis, who has appeared on Celebrity Rehab, was arrested in the 2400 block of Park Newport in January on suspicion of possessing heroin, police spokesman Sgt. Steve Burdette said at the time.

The arrest came a day after a live Celebrity Rehab reunion show during which Davis said he was off of drugs.

Davis the grandson of deceased industrialist billionaire Marvin Davis, has been on a handful of television shows. He had a recurring voice role on the animated series Recess.

Davis has long struggled with drug use, according to reports. He was sentenced to a 36-month drug program after pleading guilty to heroin possession and no contest to DUI in 2008, according to reports.
