City Launches E-Bike Safety Page In Newport Beach

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — The City of Newport Beach just launched an informational web page dedicated to e-bike and traffic safety, City Manager Grace Leung told Patch.

The web page comes in response to the numerous inquiries that city officials receive from the community regarding e-bike regulations and safety rules.

"As the popularity of e-bikes continues to grow, it is essential for riders to be well-informed about the rules and regulations governing their use," Leung said. "The new page provides information on e-bike safety designed to address the concerns and questions raised by community members."

According to Leung, the page includes the latest rules and regulations regarding e-bike riding, and safety tips for all bike riders, tips for children and parents, and information on the NBPD's bike safety community outreach efforts.
