City Of Newport Beach To Hold Auction Of Abandoned Ships

On Wednesday, October 30, at 10 a.m., the City of Newport Beach will auction abandoned vessels.

On Wednesday, October 30, at 10 a.m., the City of Newport Beach will auction the following vessels:

  • 34' Sailboat - CF 4378 EG
  • 14' Lido - CF 9804 GS
  • 27' Blue Sailboat - CF 4595 ER
  • 14'8" Bayliner with Outbound - CF 3417 JR
  • 13'3" Janus Sailboat - CF 4854 EY
  • 12 Kayaks (single and doubles)
  • 3 Dingies
  • 1 Sabot

At the same time and location, the OCSD Harbor Patrol will auction five vessels.

Vessel Viewing

Viewing will open on Wednesday, October 30, between 9 a.m. and 9:59 a.m. at the City of Newport Beach, Harbor Department.

Important Information About the Auction

  • Vessels are sold as is and where is.
  • Minimum bid varies with each vessel.
  • Payment is cash only immediately after the auction.
  • The Harbor Department must retain the CF registered vessels following the auction for a 10-day redemption period before vessels are released to the successful bidder.
  • Held vessels must be picked up November 10 by 5 p.m.
