Cop Helps Mother Goose Cross Street In Newport Beach
Happy Mother's Day! Newport Beach police officer did his duty for this web-footed family who needed a little extra help crossing the street.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — We've all heard of how the chicken crossed the road, but in Newport Beach, three geese needed some extra assistance. A mother goose and two babies geese were trapped trying to cross a busy street. One brand new officer saved the day.
Newport Beach Police reported that their new lateral officer received a call from a concerned resident who spotted the mother goose and two baby goslings who needed help crossing Jamboree.
It only took a moment for him to decide what to do, and he set about chasing those geese out of harm's way back to the side of the street.

This officer's first "foot pursuit" on the job was chasing down three web-footed friends.
"He chased them down and whisked the mama goose and her babies to safety," Newport Beach Police spokesperson Jennifer Manzella told Patch. "This just proves he's got the good heart, good humor and what it takes to be a great public servant."
