Costa Mesa Man Found After Extensive Search

A man, who was missing since Dec. 1, was located officials said. In a bright spot of good news, here is how they found him.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — Costa Mesa police were relieved to share that a man reported missing on Saturday returned to his home uninjured on Monday morning, a department spokesperson said.

Douglas Kenyon, a 67 year old Costa Mesa resident, was reported missing Saturday, Dec. 1. Police said that his vehicle was found, unoccupied, in the area of the Interstate 405 and State Route 133.

He was last seen wearing grey sweatpants, a grey jacket, and a white, orange and blue beanie that says Hoag Hospital.

"He has memory issues and cognitive difficulties," a department spokesperson said.
