Costa Mesa Man ID'd After Fatal Motorcycle Crash
Costa Mesa resident Michael LaRocque was ID'd as the victim of a fatal motorcycle collision on the 55 fwy, just south of the 73 toll road.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — A 40-year-old Costa Mesa man was identified as the victim of a fatal motorcycle crash in Costa Mesa, Orange County Coroner's office reported.
Michael LaRocque was riding his motorcycle when he collided with a vehicle on the northbound Costa Mesa (55) Freeway, just south of San Joaquin Hills (73) toll road about 9:25 p.m Saturday, the California Highway Patrol and the coroner's office said.
LaRocque was taken to the Orange County Global Medical Center in Santa Ana, where he died about five hours later, according to the coroner's office.

No information was available as to injuries, or if the other driver was cited in the crash.
The crash was being investigated by the CHP in Orange County.
