Costa Mesa, Oceanside among DMV Offices Still Affected by Hardware Outage
The DMV hardware outage is still plaguing soCal offices in the Golden State. AAA offices offering DMV services are also still affected.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — The Costa Mesa office of the Department of Motor Vehicles is still being affected by the computer hardware issue that plagued the agency statewide last week.
The computer outage at the Department of Motor Vehicles which started on Oct. 24 affected the agency with a multi-office outage for several days, however operations were slowly restored throughout the week.
The Oceanside office also still being impacted, according to the agency. Operations at a third location, in San Jose, resumed before midday.

The Costa Mesa office is unable to process driver license and vehicle registration transactions, Jessica Gonzalez of the DMV said.
She said staff is still assisting customers by helping with paperwork, answering questions, scheduling return appointments and conducting drive tests.

Online services remain available to customers, according to the DMV.
AAA DMV services also are affected, according to the Automobile Association of America's website.
"The DMV recently experienced a major computer outage, impacting offices around the state, and DMV services at your local Auto Club branch may be affected," they said.
The following AAA branches offering DMV services were not affected, or are no longer affected by, the DMV outage as of 9:30 a.m. on November 1, 2016.:
