Donate Blood, Get A $10 Gift Card: Drives Near Newport Beach
Residents who donate blood through the month of March will be also automatically entered for a chance to win a $3,000 Visa gift card.
NEWPORT BEACH, CA — March marks Red Cross Month for cities and municipalities across the region, including in Newport Beach.
To get into the giving spirit, Newport Beach residents who donate blood during the month of March will automatically receive a $10 Visa gift card, the American Red Cross said in a statement.
In addition, residents who donate blood during February will be entered to win a $3,000 Visa gift card.

“When help can’t wait during emergencies, people in Orange County rally together to provide relief and hope for neighbors in need,” Becky Firey, Executive Director for the American Red Cross Orange County Chapter, said in a statement. “This humanitarian spirit is at the heart of our community, and we are proud to honor all those who make our mission possible during this year’s Red Cross Month celebration.”
Donors of all blood types — especially type O blood donors — and platelet donors are being requested by the American Red Cross.

In Newport Beach, residents can schedule to make an appointment to donate blood here.
- March 2, 2023 — 1:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2150 Bonita Canyon Road.
- March 7, 2023 — 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Newport Harbor High School, 600 Irvine Avenue.
- March 30, 2023 — 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., 1500 Quail.
