Donate Blood In Newport Beach, Get A Free Haircut Through September

The American Red Cross is hosting several blood drives, and offering incentives to Newport Beach residents who donate blood. What to know.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — While the season changes from summer to fall, the American Red Cross' need for donated blood remains the same — especially amid a current nationwide blood shortage.

The American Red Cross is hosting a slew of blood drives across Orange County and offering an abundance of incentives for scheduling an appointment.

All donors who donate blood through Sept. 30 will automatically be entered to win a free VIP NASCAR racing experience. In addition, residents who donate before Sept. 30 will receive a free haircut coupon courtesy of Sports Clips.

Residents who donate blood between Oct. 1 and Oct. 31 will automatically receive a free $5 gift card to a vendor of their choice.

  • Oct. 3, noon to 6 p.m. at Rogue Collective, 858 Production Place.
  • Oct. 6, 12:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2150 Bonita Canyon Rd.
  • Oct. 7, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Harbor View Community, 1854 Port Westbourne Place.
  • Oct. 10, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at American Legion Post 291, 215 15th St.
  • Oct. 13, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Fletcher Jones Mercedes, 3300 Jamboree Rd.
