Driver Killed When Car Sails Off Freeway Connector
The car rolled several times and slammed upside down into a tree.

A driver died in Costa Mesa today when his compact car went off a freeway transition road and came to a rest upside down in a ravine.
The accident on a road from the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway to the southbound Costa Mesa (55) Freeway was reported about 9:10 a.m., according to CHP Officer Denise Quesada, who said the car rolled several times.
The slammed into a tree and landed upside down, said Costa Mesa Fire Department Deputy Chief Fred Seguin. He said firefighters spent about an hour getting the man out of the wreckage. His name was being withheld until his next of kin could be notified.
