Drunken OC Man Steals Rose Bowl Golf Cart and Cruises Freeway, Police Allege
Police say the 20-year-old was trying to avoid the long walk back to his car.

A 20-year-old Dana Point man suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs allegedly stole a golf cart from the Rose Bowl and then drove it on the Foothill (210) Freeway in Pasadena in an effort to reach his car before he was arrested, the California Highway Patrol reported today.
Andrew Aldridge was arrested at 10:47 p.m. Thursday near the Hill Street off-ramp from the eastbound side of the freeway following the University of Oregon’s victory over Florida State University in the Rose Bowl football game, according to the CHP.
Officers responded after someone called the CHP’s Altadena unit to report a golf cart being driven east on the freeway from Lake Avenue. Another caller reported the cart had exited the freeway at Hill Street and officers located it nearby on Corson Street, according to the CHP.
