Costa Mesa's 405 freeway was shut down Friday morning in a "hit and run" collision according to CHP

COSTA MESA, CA — An early morning commuter hit and run caused a freeway shutdown on the 405 at Harbor Blvd. exit according to the CHP.
Two lanes of the San Diego 405 Freeway were shut down in Costa Mesa because of what the California Highway Patrol stated was a hit-and-run collision.
The crash was reported just after 4:30 a.m. near the Harbor Boulevard exit, the CHP said.

No one was seriously injured in the crash according to the authorities. The carpool and number 1 lane was blocked to conduct the CHP investigation.
Traffic returned to normal for the morning commute.
