Eastbluff Medical Offers $69 Check-ups

Eastbluff Medical in Newport Beach is offering discounted office visits this week to residents without health insurance coverage.

Officials say the service is being offered as part of Urgent Care Awareness Week, which begins Wednesday. Claudio Varga, company spokesman, said recent statistics show that nearly 20 percent of Orange County residents are uninsured and often go without basic medical attention. On Wednesday, the price of office visits at Eastbluff will be reduced to $69.

"It’s important for us to help people stay healthy by bridging the gap between necessity and affordability," Varga said.
