Paws for a Cause 2012

Calling all dog-lovers to put their shoes on! Paws for a Cause will hold its first annual 2-mile Dog Walk for OC Animal Care on Sunday, October 7, at the Huntington Beach Pier!

The event features a 2-mile walk that starts at the famous Huntington Beach Pier and continues along the beautiful bike path right along the beach. Participants receive a free t-shirt, a goody-bag full of treats from our sponsors and a chance to win some of our many raffle giveaways.

All donations and proceeds will be given to Noble Friends Foundation for OC Animal Care, the 501c3 non-profit organization devoted to OC Animal Care. OC Animal Care provides abandoned pets with the safety, protection from harm, humane care, and dignity they deserve as they await their forever home. The event strives to bring about greater awareness of the realities of pet overpopulation in OC and to emphasize education toward changing the dynamic of irresponsible pet ownership, buying purebred pets sourced from "puppy mills", and the importance of spaying and neutering pets.

The walk begins at Huntington Beach Pier Plaza at 8:30am, with check-in beginning at 7:30am. Walkers may participate with or without a canine companion.
