Fire Breaks Out Inside Newport Beach Business: NBFD

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — Firefighters were hard at work Wednesday evening after a blaze was reported in a Corona del Mar business.

Newport Beach firefighters responded to the fire on 6:28 p.m. Wednesday and upon arrival found heavy smoke emitting from Sunbliss Cafe, located at 3348 E. Coast Highway.

Crews launched an aggressive attack on the inside of the building while evacuating the adjacent restaurant to ensure public safety.

The blaze was contained in 20 minutes thanks to the rapid response of Newport Beach firefighters.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and no injuries were reported.
