Fire Reported, 3 Homes Destroyed In Newport Beach Wednesday

The fire destroyed three mobile homes and damaged three others Wednesday in Newport Beach, authorities said.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — A fire destroyed three mobile homes and damaged three others Wednesday in Newport Beach, authorities said.

The blaze ignited at around 10 a.m. at the Beach/Bay Mobile Home Port at 7204 West Coast Highway, Newport Beach City Spokesperson John Pope said.

According to Pope, the first started in one of the mobile homes and spread to the others. Twenty-eight other mobile homes were not damaged, Pope said.

Two people were evaluated by paramedics at the scene of the fire for minor smoke inhalation, but no serious injuries were reported, he said.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
