Firefighters Rescue Dangling Window Washer 60 Feet Up in Irvine
A window washer became stranded after his harness and lowering system malfunctioned, the Orange County Fire Authority said.
IRVINE, CA — Firefighters rescued a window washer Sunday who was stranded approximately 60 feet above the ground in Irvine.
Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched at 10:27 a.m. Sunday to the 7700 block of Irvine Center Drive, the Orange County Fire Authority reported.
"A window washer became stranded approximately 60 feet above the ground after his harness and lowering system malfunctioned," according to an agency statement. "Truck 20 and our technical rescue team used the truck's aerial ladder and bucket to bring him to safety, injury free."
