Are you traveling by air this Thanksgiving holiday? Here are some holiday travel tips for traveling safely before you take off.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — Thanksgiving travel doesn't have to be tricky according to the John Wayne Airport. With a record-setting year-end holiday travel season this Thanksgiving holiday will be one the most heavily traveled holiday periods to date. Safety and awareness are key, according to JWA officials, and in a partnership with KeepOCSafe, passengers will be encouraged to say something if you see something out of place.
"Together, we encourage travelers to be aware of their surroundings and report questionable objects or activities," Board Chairwoman Lisa Bartlett said.
A Giant Red Backpack (pictured below) will be on display in the Riley Terminal throughout the holidays to remind passengers and visitors with the trademarked statement: "If You See Something, Say Something."
