Gas Leak Reported In Newport Beach Neighborhood

Newport Beach firefighters were hard at work Monday after a gas leak was reported in a neighborhood.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — Newport Beach firefighters were hard at work Monday after a gas leak was reported in the city.

The gas leak was reported on Westcliff Drive and Buckingham Lane in Newport Beach, according to the Newport Beach Police Department.

The leak prompted officials to close the east and westbound lanes of Westcliff and Buckingham starting at 4:30 p.m.

By 8:18 p.m., authorities reported that all closures had been lifted.
