Man Suspected Of Killing Girlfriend Arrested, Anaheim Police Say

Anaheim homicide investigators were at the scene of a home after a man called in the death of his girlfriend Wednesday morning.

ANAHEIM, CA — A man was arrested after reporting his girlfriend dead in his Anaheim home, police said. The suspect called police about 7:30 a.m. to say his girlfriend was hurt and that he thought he had killed her, Anaheim Police Sgt. Daron Wyatt said.

When police arrived in the 800 block of South Cardiff Street, the suspect said the gas might be on inside the home, but it was found to be turned off, Wyatt added. Homicide detectives were called to the scene, where the victim's body lay in a bedroom of the house, Wyatt said.

The victim and suspect are in their 40s. Their names have not yet been released.
