Great Whites Return For Pupping Season Along SoCal Coastline
They're baaaaaaack. It's 'Shark Pupping' season along the California Pacific Coastlines. From Malibu to San Diego, the babies are arriving.

DANA POINT, CA — It's one big nursery in the Pacific Ocean, off the coast of Southern California. Expect to see more sharks along the shoreline as the great whites are back for what is known as "shark pupping season," according to the experts. This is when the mothers will swim close to shore to give birth to their young.
For the next two months, it's basically a maternity ward out there.
Photographer Matt Larmand launched his drone, catching sight of a great white just off shore, as reported by KTLA news.

"10 or 15 minutes into the flight, there was a great white," Larmand said.
For the Dana Point photographer who lives near Capo Beach, this is not an unusual sight. Larmand mentioned recognizing the great white based upon the rope-mark from an previous entanglement.

According to Shark Lab expert Dr. Chris Lowe, "If you go to the beach and see shark signs, pay attention to those. It's good to stay in a group, follow lifeguard instructions, and crowded beaches tend to be the safest beaches," he said. "We need to learn to share the ocean with these animals."
