Hear Helicopters? 22 Fly Over Orange County, Tuesday

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — Don't be alarmed if you hear or see helicopters overhead, Tuesday.

John Wayne Airport alerted people across Orange County that 22 Blackhawk and Apache helicopters from the 25th Combat Aviation Brigade will begin landing at JWA today as part of a United States Army training exercise.

The helicopters began their flight in the Fort Irwin area, and will then head south to San Diego, after a brief stop to refuel.

"All aircraft will depart by approximately 1:15 p.m.," Deanne Thompson of JWA said.
