Homeless Man Hit by Car in Fatal Costa Mesa Accident
A homeless man died early Saturday morning following a pedestrian vs. car accident in Costa Mesa.

Costa Mesa, CA--A car fatally struck a 53-year-old man early Saturday at Newport and 17th Street.
Police reports state that a Tustin man driving an 1988 Cadillac Eldorado struck the man--reportedly a transient, according to Costa Mesa police.
The pedestrian, Patrick O'Gara, died on scene from injuries sustained at the accident.

The 36-year-old driver did not leave the scene of the accident, and was not arrested or cited, according to reports.
