Hourslong Standoff At Former 'Real Housewives' Newport Beach Home
An hourslong barricade situation involving local authorities and SWAT teams ended with one suspect in custody Wednesday.
NEWPORT BEACH, CA — One man is in custody after engaging in an hourslong standoff with SWAT teams and local authorities in a house belonging to reality TV star Elizabeth Vargason Wednesday, NBC Los Angeles reported.
SWAT teams and officers with the Newport Beach Police Department focused in on Vargas's home Wednesday evening in the area of Medina Way and Balboa Boulevard after a reported welfare check was made to the reality TV star's home. Authorities said they believed two suspects to have been barricaded inside the home.
A spokesperson with the Newport Beach Police Department told NBC Los Angeles that the former "Real Housewives of Orange County" star is safe and uninjured.
