House Fire Traps Residents In Costa Mesa, Firefighters Say
The fire was reported in the 2800 block of Ellesmere Avenue in the City of Costa Mesa.
COSTA MESA, CA — A fire devastated a home in Orange County this past week.
The fire happened on Friday evening, when Costa Mesa Fire & Rescue responded to a call of a reported fire in the 2800 block of Ellesmere Avenue.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a fully involved garage and house fire, with the members of the home trapped in the home's backyard.

"The first arriving unit immediately moved in to secure the occupants while the second unit began an aggressive fire attack," Costa Mesa Fire & Rescue posted on social media. "Costa Mesa Police Department secured the streets for additional incoming units."
The fire was knocked down in a half-hour, firefighters said.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
