Longtime CDM Pharmacy Opens New Location

A pharmacy that has served the Corona del Mar community for more than two decades has reopened in a different location with new services.

CDM Drugs, formerly known as Medi-Rx Pharmacy, relocated last month to the Port Plaza building. The boutique pharmacy provides prescription refills, vaccinations, customized hormone replacement therapy, intravenous infusions and a beauty bar for non-invasive cosmetic treatments. There is also a private room where shoppers can watch the pharmacist compound their prescriptions and a concierge service.

"The concierge service is great for new moms returning home after giving birth and they can't really go out right away, senior citizens or anyone who is having a hard time leaving their home," Claudia Schou, a spokeswoman for the pharmacy, said. "It's for convenience and necessity.”

A registered nurse is also on site during the pharmacy's business hours to help anyone who may have a questions regarding their health.

“We are committed to meeting the needs of our customers and being an important part of their health management team," Chad Kearns, who owns CDM Drugs with his wife, Linda, said.

CDM Drugs is currently offering a free first delivery for all new customers.
