Mega Millions Winning Numbers Tuesday, Oct. 10: Nearly $2 Million In Southland

A winning Mega Millions ticket was purchased in OC, according to the Lottery Association. Check your numbers. You might be a millionaire.

COSTA MESA, CA —Wouldn't it be nice to wake up and discover that last second Mega Millions lottery ticket you purchased won you almost $2 million? That's exactly what happened Tuesday night in Costa Mesa.

A ticket with five numbers, but missing the Mega number in Tuesday evening's drawing of the multi-state Mega Millions lottery was sold at a Costa Mesa gas station and is worth $1,812,236.

There were no tickets sold with all six numbers and the estimated jackpot for Friday's drawing will grow to $43 million, the Multi-State Lottery Association, which conducts the game, announced.

The numbers drawn Tuesday night were 7, 16, 24, 61, 62 and the Mega number was 2. The estimated jackpot was $36 million.

The drawing was the fifth since the last time a ticket with all six numbers was sold.

The odds of matching all five numbers and the Mega number is 1 in 258,890,850, according to the Mega Millions website. The overall chance of winning a prize is 1 in 14.71.
