Moms Talk: Should You Post Photos of Your Kids on Facebook?

Welcome to this week's installment of Moms Talk (the name notwithstanding, dads, grandparents, expecting parents and even people with no kids are welcome and encouraged to contribute).

Even with the recent reports of privacy issues on sites like Facebook and Twitter, it doesn't appear to stop parents from posting their children's faces or whereabouts on these sites.

Consider this October 2010 Wall Street Journal investigation, which revealed:

"Many of the most popular applications, or "apps," on the social-networking site Facebook Inc. have been transmitting identifying information—in effect, providing access to people's names and, in some cases, their friends' names—to dozens of advertising and Internet tracking companies ..."

There are videos reporting these breaches and even instructional videos on how to protect your kids' information online. 

But none of these reports seems to be stopping people from posting personal pictures.
